Take a Llama to Lunch for Wilderness -June 22

On Saturday, June 22, Stuart Wilde of Wild Earth Llama Adventures will provide a Take a Llama to Lunch outing for us in the Columbine Hondo Wilderness Study Area, near Questa.

Wilde is a long-term local outfitter, activist and champion for wilderness. His gentle, sure-footed llamas will carry a gourmet lunch, as well as your gear, on an easy/moderate hike (3 miles each way) up Columbine Creek, off Highway 38 (on the way to Red River).

The Central Group is hosting an Excursions Leader Training in Albuquerque May 4 - 5 for people interested in leading hikes and outdoor adventures. Can you please help us spread the word to your contacts who like outdoor recreation? The details are below.

Training details:
WHAT: Learn to lead outdoor excursions with the Sierra Club, from hikes to camping trips. This training includes ‘how to’s’ in leading groups in the outdoors (May 4) and first aid/CPR training (May 5).
WHEN: Saturday, May 4 (Excursions training) and Sunday, May 5 (First Aid/CPR Training)
